This is one of the most complex projects I've ever done. I feel that the table has significant similarities to the ark of the covonent so the central lettering and if I have enough the outside will be done in Acacia wood. I'm doing a wood panel applique with this table. The angels instructions to Dr. Dee were " sweet wood" this is interpreted a number of ways and each occultist who works with this system will give you a different interpretation. I feel the imagrey parallels the Hebrew temple and clothing set so I will fashion my table accordingly. Acacia covered with gold. The gold comes from a gold paint which is considerably cheaper than trying to electroplate or leaf the piece also allows for greater control and use of resins and herbs in the ink mixture. The ink will be constructed of resin from frankensense, Myrrh, and essential oil of mimosa ( acacia) This is then combined with the gold paint which will be ground into the mixture giving it a gold glow but a reddish color. I will also make the lamen of the laminated pieces mainly because they're very attractive and it gives me practice with them before I go to the main project and use the real gold paint.
To my knowledge no occultist has ever done a table like this or using this interpretation.
1st mistake. I should have clamped the oak panel pieces with 2X4 crosspieces with the squeeze clamps. The weights were not enough and didn't give me the optimal finish
